Plot Bunnies

Listed below are plot bunnies donated by members of the group to hopefully inspire you to write more stories. If you get inspired by any of these and do write a story please let us know, we'd love to read the story.

For now they are listed in the order recieved along with who suggested them (if known), they may get organised into categories later if there are enough of them.

1.Jack gets shifted to another exit when lightening hits the Stargate. Only these people don't know what the Stargate is. And there are no crystals in the DHD so Jack can't just dial home. He can't spin the ring manually without help and gets captured. They are scarred to death of him. Disease, conquest, all sorts of nasty ideas have them freaked out. Set it on a planet developed as far as the 1960's on Earth. We would quarantine the guy to make sure he isn't carrying some germ that would wipe us out. We would interrogate him. But these folks aren't evil. They are just frightened. Here's the problem. They don't know their own Gate address. So even if they manage to dial the SGC, and send a radio signal, they have no way to tell anyone where they are. And they aren't giving up their real live alien...Jack O'Neill. So how can he
convince them to let him go? - Livi

2. Jack is stuck in an elevator for hours when the power goes out at the SGC. The phone in the car doesn't work. He can't just go up the roof exit and pry open the doors to the next level. They are stuck. And his knees, back, etc won't take him shimmying up or down the cable. Find a reason.

Here's the real kicker. He's stuck with a middle aged woman civilian contractor who doesn't like him and has to pee. She's not so thin. And she's got issues. Write some great witty dialogue while they wait to be rescued. - Livi

3. Since being promoted to Maj. Gen. and reassigned to Washington, DC, Jack has bought a house in a nice neighborhood only his neighbor is really nutty, actually an alien studying Earth, and knows who he is but he doesn't know who she is. And she's got the hots for him. - Livi

4. For whatever reason, Jack exits the wrong gate. He surprises a lone woman/man better a woman who appears to be about our level of technology or at least something in the 1960's so there's TV Radio, telephones, cars, machinery etc...

She didn't know the Stargate was a stargate and wants to turn him in to the authorities. He can't turn the Gate and crystals are missing or the thing is stuck, DHD is missing...whatever. So he has to get her help and stay out of the clutches of the authorities.

How dark will Jack get with no one to watch him? How far will he go? - Livi

5. One of the advanced races SG-1 has met borrow or take Sam for a mission but don't tell the SGC where or what the mission is. A few weeks (months?) later SG-1 gate to a planet supposedly under enemy control and find Sam is in control of the planet.

Can either have her still good and helping SG-1 out/protecting the planet for whatever race took her originally, or she has turned evil in which case SG-1 have to either stop her or turn her back. - S.A

6. Sam somehow goes through one of those AU mirrors and finds a world where the SGC suffered great loses in a battle of some kind. SG-1 no longer exits, AU-Teal'c is crippled, AU-Sam died saving AU-Jack's life. AU-Jack and AU-Sam had a child who AU-Daniel and AU-Janet are having to look after as AU-Jack is depressed/can't bare to be near the child after what happened to AU-Sam. What will happen to them all when Sam comes through? Will she be able to reunite father and child/SG-1 or will her presence make everything worse? Will she stay and be a mother to the child or still try and get back? - S.A

7. The team wake up after a drunken night out with no memory of what happened or where they are. All they have to go on is a pair of matching rings Sam and Daniel are wearing on their ring fingers and a bag full of money that no one recognises. - S.A

8. Sam, Jack and their kids meet Pete somewhere and he gets upset that Sam is happy without him. Jack has to use his black-op skills to protect his family when Pete starts stalking Sam again.

9. Takes place after Chimera, Pete is in infirmary, Sarah is also.  Sam comforting Pete. Daniel comforting Sarah.

What wasn't known was that Janet and Daniel were starting to get close slowly but getting there. When Sarah comes back into the pic, Daniel does the honorable thing and helps her out and is there for her. Janet is devasted and being the good soldier she is she understands and watches the man she longs for comfort another.

Jack is not comfortable about Sam and Pete and when he finds out about the background check he hits the roof he is about to go and comfront spud but catches Sam and Pete together, Sam leaning into him to kiss him. Poor Jack is devasted and leaves knowing he's lost the best thing in his life.

He goes to the commissary and finds Janet there she looks a million miles away and he gets his coffee and sits next to her. They start talking about love and loss. He finds out about her and Daniel. Janet breaks down and appologizes to him but he's there to comfort her. Out of the blue he asks her and Cassie to a movie and she accepts.

Day of the wedding gets closer and Pete is released and sent back to Denver and Sarah starts to push Daniel away having too many memories of the past.  Sam and Daniel find out about Jack and Janet spending a lot of time together and the little green goblins of jealousy pops its ugly head. Sam's pissed at Janet for taking the man she knows she's secretly in love with and Daniel is wondering what the hell Janet sees in Jack. - Lilly

10. In the Pilot:  when the 4 Jaffa are shot in the gateroom... what happened to their primta's?  I would love to see some of the stories you guys could come up with for that one...

And you know -- after we had Teal'c move onto base... why did he never ask if we found the goa'uld larvae from them?  - Barb

12. AU Jack is EVIL... runs the SGC like his fiefdom. Sam is a
conniving climber using Jack who's using her. First the SGC tomorrow
the world! This one or another planet...which ever comes first. - Livi
